Taibu heads back to Zimbabwe
12 Aug 2007
By: James Nixon

Tatenda Taibu has returned to Zimbabwe and made himself available for selection for the national team again following his two year departure.

Taibu who spoke to the The Sunday Telegraph said "My wife was tired of travelling and asked if we could come back home and I agreed. She was against the idea of me leaving in the first place. All the time we were away she was always asking me when we were going back home."

Taibu went onto say "I am back to score hundreds, double hundreds and take more catches. Cricket fans will see more of me. Zimbabwe Cricket and myself have realised that there is more to life than having disagreements."

Taibu is now 24 years of age and played his last international for Zimbabwe against India in Harare in September 2005, and has played a total of 24 Tests and 84 one-day internationals for his country.
