Tikolo leads Kenyan squad of 14
20 Feb 2006
By: Liam Camps

Three uncapped players have been included in the Kenyan side to take on Zimbabwe in the upcoming 5-match One Day International series.

Steve Tikolo will lead the squad of 14, which includes youngsters Tanmay Mishra, Kalpesh Patel, and Nehemiah Odhiambo Ngoche.

Notably absent from the squad are legspinner Collins Obuya, veteran medium pacer, Martin Suji, and batsman Ravindu Shah. Obuya has been omitted as it is thought he is not ready to resume top-level cricket, whilst Suji and Shah are rested to overcome knee injuries.

The series will feature an intense schedule, and the teams will compete in 5 ODI matches in the space of 9 days. The first match is on February 25.

Kenya ODI squad:
Steve Tikolo (capt), Kennedy Otieno (wk), Thomas Odoyo, Brijal Patel, Tony Suji, Peter Ongondo, Josephat Ababu, David Obuya, Nehemiah Odhiambo Ngoche, Alfred Luseno, Morris Ouma, Kalpesh Patel, James Kamande, Tanmay Mishra.
