Blignaut demands payment
15 Feb 2006
By: Liam Camps

Allrounder Andy Blignaut has continued to withhold his services from Zimbabwean cricket until he is paid the money due to him from the last year of cricket.

Blignaut, the man many expect to be the new Zimbabwe captain, is currently in South Africa representing the Highfield Lions. He was called to train for the upcoming One Day International series against Kenya, but has stated that he will not play until paid in full the six months worth of match fees he is due.

Shortly before the announcement, reports suggested that Blignaut had indeed signed a contract with Zimbabwe Cricket, making him eligible for selection. Further reports suggest that he has denied any claims of his availability.
