Big guns return for SA

Jacques Kallis and Shaun Pollock return for the Test series against Zimbabwe, after having been rested for the ODI series.

Kallis decided to miss out the on-going ODI series, so as to recharge his batteries for the forthcoming tour of the Caribbean, after a hectic last year. Whereas, Pollock had been suffering from a niggling ankle injury, to prevent the aggravation of which, he was left out for the ODIs.

Makhaya Ntini and Andre Nel too return to the Test side, after missing the last ODI, while Ashwell Price returns to the Test fold after impressive performances in domestic cricket, as well as a handful of ODIs he got to show his temperament.

Graeme Smith, who will miss tomorrow's (Wednesday) final ODI of the three-match series as a result of a minor ankle injury, and be replaced by AB de Villiers for the same, will be back by the time for the Tests, to lead the Proteas.

South Africa Test squad:
Graeme Smith (captain), AB de Villiers, Jacques Rudolph, Jacques Kallis, Herschelle Gibbs, Ashwell Prince, Mark Boucher (wicket-keeper), Shaun Pollock, Nicky Boje, Makhaya Ntini, Charl Langeveldt, Andre Nel.
