South Africa confirmed that they would play three warm-up matches ahead of the first Test match against Australia in December.

All three matches will be played in Western Australia with the tour opening with a three-day fixture against a Western Australian XI at the WACA before the traditional Lilac Hill one-dayer on December the 9th.

The South Africans will then take on the Western Australian XI in a second first class match ahead of the first Test match that starts on the 16th December also at the WACA before flying to Melbourne for the traditional Boxing Day Test.
