Shaun Pollock, Ashwell Prince and Andre Nel have received contract upgrades from Cricket South Africa (CSA) as reward for their outstanding performances in the 2006/07 season. Chief executive of the CSA, Gerald Majola announced the decision yesterday.

In the recently concluded Test series against India, Shaun Pollock took 13 wickets at 16 apiece and scored 187 runs 31 per innings. He also claimed 10 wickets at 8.30 in the one-day international series. His contract was upgraded from "A" to "A+".

Prince and Nel had their contracts improved from "C" to "B". Prince scored 138 in the first Test against Pakistan, following on from 306 runs at 61.20 in the series against India. He is South Africa's leading runscorer this season, and has notched 905 runs at an average of 47.63.

Nel played a big role in South Africa's 4-0 one-day thrashing of India, claiming 6 wickets in 3 games in the series, with a best haul of 4-13.
