Prince and Laxman called up
28 Nov 2006
By: James Nixon

Ashwell Prince has been called up to replace Boeta Dippenaar while VVS Laxman has been called up to replace the injured Rahul Dravid.

Dravid suffered a fracture on the middle finger of his right hand and will miss the rest of the ODI series along with the Twenty20 international and the first class warm-up match against Rest of South Africa.

Virender Sehwag has been named to captain the side in Dravid's absence.

On the South African front the national selectors have decided to replace Boeta Dippenaar with Ashwell Prince for the final two one-day internationals.

The convenor of selectors Haroon Lorgat said they were looking for more experienced options at the top of the order.

The next ODI starts on Wednesday at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth.
