Pollock reaches the Caribbean
17 Apr 2005
By: Sudeep Popat

Shaun Pollock flew to the Caribbean this weekend to join up with the South African squad, after missing the first two Tests against West Indies because of an ankle injury.

However, Pollock will have to undergo a fitness Test ahead of the third Test, starting April 21 in Barbados, to be considered for selection.

Pollock played a match in South Africa's domestic Pro20 competition before leaving, on Wednesday, in which he smashed 49 from 36 balls and bowled four overs for 18 runs.

South Africa leads the four-Test series, 1-0.
