Edwards and Hinds back for WI
17 Apr 2005
By: Liam Camps

Fresh off a fiery showing against the South Africans for the Vice Chancellor's XI, Fidel Edwards is back in the West Indies Test match squad. Recovering from a back injury sustained last year, Edwards has worked his way back to full pace and aggression.

He joins fellow Barbadian Ryan Hinds in returning to West Indies colours. Hinds missed the last Test match with a viral infection, but is cleared to make his return on his home ground in the third Test, starting later this week.

The players out of the squad are Donavan Pagon, who had a horrific time in the second Test match, and the injured Pedro Collins. The latter is reported to have a slight back injury, which will apparently pave the way for the immediate return of his half-brother Edwards.

The 12-man squad:
S Chanderpaul (captain), CO Browne (vice-captain), CH Gayle, WW Hinds, RR Sarwan, BC Lara, RO Hinds, DJJ Bravo, DB Powell, FH Edwards, RD King, DM Washington.
