Jacques Kallis in Severe Doubt
18 Jan 2006
By: James Nixon

South African medical staff are likely to make the decision to send Jacques Kallis home tomorrow due to his serious elbow injury returning.

The injury initially occurred during South Africa's first Test against South Africa in Perth before Christmas, and unfortunately for everyone involved it flared up again in the nets in Brisbane on Monday.

Kallis is in doubt for Australia's return series beginning in February.

The news is also not good for fellow South Africa Charl Langeveldt who is struggling to overcome his groin problem which could also force him back to South Africa.

The next VB Series match is on Friday at the Telstra Dome in Melbourne between Australia and South Africa.
