Rain prevents any play
01 Jul 2007
By: Paul Wood

Rain prevented any play at The Grange today in which a one-off One-Day international between Scotland and Pakistan was due to take place.

Heavy overnight rain resulted in an outfield too wet for play to get underway at the scheduled 10.45am start time.

The umpires decided to take a 12noon inspection, but before that inspection could take place, more heavy rain arrived that curtailed any prospects of cricket.

Pakistan now meet India on Tuesday in Glasgow to conclude what has been an exceptionally short and so far, non-eventful tour.
