21 Jun 2007
By: Richard Dickinson

Only 25 overs were possible on the second day of the 12-a-side practice game between Sri Lanka A and the touring Bangladeshis due to rain. The Bangladeshis added just 3 to their overnight 183 for 5 - all to Habibul Bashar - before he fell to Akalanka Ganegama giving him his first wicket of the innings. Chanaka Welegedara took his first two soon after, trapping Khaled Mashud - playing as a specialist batsman - and Mohammad Sharif lbw. Mushfiqur Rahim and Shahadat Hossain added an unbroken 47 in 12.4 overs, before the rains came.
