Bangladesh Cut Shortlist to 15
10 Feb 2006
By: George Roberts

Alok Kapali, who some regarded as a curious initial selection, has booked his place in a fifteen man Bangladesh ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series with Sri Lanka.

Batsmen Tushar Imran and Nafees Iqbal, plus seamers Tapash Baisya, who is recovering from injury and Shahadat Hossain were all omitted, having been selected in the initial twenty-man training camp. Enamul Haque, the left-arm spinner, was also excluded, but is likely to regain his place for the Tests. Fellow slow-left-armer Abdur Razzak regained his spot following some outstanding performances in the Dhaka Premier League, as is veteran all-rounder Khaled Mahmud.
