Anderson fined 50% of match fee

James Anderson has been fined 50% of his match fee for a breach of the International Cricket Council’s code of conduct during the second one-dayer against the West Indies at Edgbaston.

The ICC in a statement said Anderson had been found guilty of “inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between players in the course of play.”

During the West Indies innings, Anderson bumped into Runako Morton and started a verbal confrontation with him following his dismissal.

The three match series is locked 1-1 with the final one-dayer being played at Trent Bridge on Saturday.
