Akhtar and Malik in ODI squad

Shoaib Akhtar and Shoaib Malik have been included in Pakistan’s ODI squad to play England, along with the uncapped Shahid Yousuf.

Akhtar and Malik have both missed the Test series against England with injury. Malik was recently cleared to play by the Pakistan Cricket Board’s medical panel, and Akhtar has been in England with the Test squad, but was not deemed fit enough to play at The Oval.

Shahid Yousuf is a 20 year-old right-handed batsman and has been included following impressive performances for Pakistan A. Flying home are Mohammad Sami, Shahid Nazir and Faisal Iqbal, while Rao Iftikhar also joins the squad.
